Breaking Fast with RMHC Malaysia & McDonald’s Kuantan

15 June 2016 – In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, over 100 children in need were treated to an evening of festive cheer that included a shopping spree for baju raya and school necessities as well as a scrumptious Iftar dinner.

All in all, it was a good day for the children from Rumah Anak Yatim Nur Iman, Rumah Anak Yatim & Miskin D’Nasti and Rumah Anak Yatim & Miskin Baitul Husna. In addition to sponsoring the breaking of fast dinner at Hotel Vistana Kuantan, Ronald McDonald House Charities also made a donation of RM5,000.00 to each home. In turn, McDonald’s Kuantan handed out duit raya to the children whilst Kotasas Sdn Bhd footed the baju raya bill, amounting to nearly RM11,000.00.

“We are always happy to bring cheer and comfort to children in need, especially in times like these when Malaysians are observing Ramadhan and preparing for Hari Raya with their family and friends,” said Tengku Dato’ Nurul Kamalia bt Tengku Kamil Ismail, McDonald’s Kuantan Franchisee who is also co-organizing this event with RMHC at the cheque presentation ceremony after the breaking of fast. “I am very grateful to Kotasas Sdn Bhd for their continuous support and hope that we have all have been able to bring cheer to the children. This event is part of our mission to reach out and help as many people as possible, especially those living in underprivileged communities . We hope to make a difference in their lives.”
