RMHC Scholarship
RMHC Scholarship | Ronald McDonald House Charities

The Ronald McDonald House Charities Scholarship program was launched in 2001 in collaboration with the Ministry of Education with the aim to provide financial assistance to under privileged children in helping them stay in school and complete their secondary education.

The children will receive monetary support from RMHC Malaysia throughout their secondary school years that entails monthly allowance for meals, transportation, school uniforms and school fees. Students who obtain all A’s for SPM are also entitled to receive McDonald’s Gift Vouchers worth RM200 as incentive for their outstanding results.

RMHC Malaysia spends approximately RM500,000 annually for the Scholarship Program and have channeled more than RM4.1 million, benefiting more than 900 students since its inception.

RMHC Scholarship program will be wind down by 2021 with stoppage of new intake since 2018.

Back To School Pack Program

The program began in 2017 in collaboration with the Ministry of Education with the objective to boost the student’s confidence in starting new school year.

The school pack consist of school uniform, shoes & socks and school bag distributed to urban poor and needy primary students throughout Malaysia.

Since 2017, we have channelled RM5.5million and more than 55,000 primary school students have benefited from the program.

Each year we strived to distribute more packs to assist underprivileged primary school students across the nation with the support from McDonalds, Franchisees, McDonald’s business partners and individual & corporate sponsors.
