Scholarship Program

Education is meant for all. Ronald McDonald House Charities Scholarship gives children from low income families a chance to excel in their status.

Launched nationwide in 1997 co-operating with the Malaysian Ministry of Education. An average of six students from each state of secondary levels who have excellent results from low-income families are selected. They receive monetary support throughout their secondary levels that entails monthly allowance for meals in school in addition to an extra sum every beginning of the year for transportation,

school uniforms and fees. If the students get all A’s for their PT3 and SPM, they get McDonald’s gift vouchers worth RM200 or RM100 is given for them to spend with their families and friends.

Approximately RM500k is spent annually and since 1997, we have channelled more than RM2.6 million towards this program and more than 500 students have benefited.
