Ronald McDonald House (RMH) – PPUKM

THE HOUSE THAT LOVE BUILT….that provides comfort and strength for families & children seeking treatment.

Many families travel far from home to Kuala Lumpur to obtain hospital treatment for their children. The cost of paediatric medical treatment is costly and putting up at hotels or motels in the city would add to the financial and emotional stress. Families also prefer to be as close as possible to their children.

The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) – PPUKM offers families affordable and comfortable accommodation within the grounds of the Pusat Perubatan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (PPUKM) at RM5/night. Officially launched by YABhg. Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah Binti Haji Mohd Ali, the wife of the former Prime Minister on 21st June 1999, the house has 19 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and fully equipped facilities such as kitchen-cum-dining, TV lounge, playland & playroom for children, computer room, library, laundry room, etc. This “home-away-from-home” concept is to relieve the families so they can focus on their child.
